Rambling...

I kept a blog in high school and I wrote on it all the time.  Perhaps I thought I was more interesting back then than I think I am now, or maybe I was more lonely or had more time. But I think I should write more now.

I only have a few more weeks of work (which happens to be going pretty well at the moment). Then vacation. I like that word. Then another vacation. Then packing for Scotland. Then... I'm leaving.

I'm sharing that flat with a girl named Christine. I don't think she's like the last Christine I roomed with, so we'll be okay.

Here's the living room of my new place:

I love the quaint wall and tiny fireplace. Doesn't it look so cozy?

We're still trying to figure out how I'm going to pay my deposit. My bank was going to charge me $40 to send the payment and Western Union was about the same. Outrageous! I think Paypal is the next thing we're going to try.

And I've been watching flight prices for many months now, and lately they've been rising and rising and rising more. I don't know whether to buy now before they rise again or wait for a price drop. So many questions!

I'm still waiting on paperwork so I can register for classes and get a reading list. In a few months, my sole occupation will be to read books and write about them. For 12 months. Just reading and writing. In this location. It's preposterously glorious.
